Super-quick post from my desk at work very early....I'm laptop shopping to replace my baby which has been completely infected with a stupid virus. Sucks.
Workouts: 8 gym days so far in January (8/10). My gym is running a contest for a free one-year membership. All I have to do to be entered is show up 21 out of 31 days in January. No sweat. Or lotsa sweat, depending on how you look at it. So far, 3 upper body and 3 lower body strength workouts and 2 days of cardio.
The food program is going well too! My plan is very close to Ess's detox program - lotsa protein, veg's, fruit, good fats, vitamins, pro-biotics. No grains, and easy on the carbs. No dairy for the first week, but I've added it back since it just makes things easier. You can see the philosophy at Mark's Daily Apple.
Life here has settled back down to normal after the holidays. It's cold. And dark. And I'm tired of my winter clothes already. Only 12 weeks until spring!!
I'm reading Sarah's Key. Loving it so far even though the subject matter is a little dark. Reading is good in Janaury. Especially when you don't have a laptop. Feeling disconnected, I must admit. Soon, I hope.
