Workouts: Sunday (Jan.1) - 3.16 miles treadmill, Monday (Jan.2) - lower body + 1 mile warmup & cooldown
And so it begins......
My gym is having a contest for the New Year - if you work out 21 out of 31 days in January, you could win your membership free for a year. I'M IN! Good motivation. So, today I'm 2days/2days.
Ess and I have set Mondays as our weigh-in day for the new year, with today being our baseline day. Week 0. I gained several pounds back over the holidays but nothing too demoralizing. We'll be reporting each week on how we're doing with our individual programs - successes and challenges.

As of this evening, the healthy groceries are bought and the gym schedule is set. I have 2 new pairs of yoga pants and 3 inexpensive new t-shirts. I purchased a spare water bottle and invested in a training journal. No excuses allowed. Every base is covered.
Sadly, it's back to work tomorrow. It's been a great 10 days off. I've read lots, been to the movies, shopped a little, worked out (4 out of 10 days....not bad for the Christmas holidays), cleaned my oven (oh yay!) and spent some time with friends, family and Golden Retriever Barbie.
