Workouts: Saturday - upper body (I think), Sunday - lower body, Monday - treadmill walk, Tuesday - snow shoveling, Wednesday - heading to the gym for an upper body workout.
I've been a posting slacker! Here's my weigh-in from Monday morning:
At the end of Week 2: -1.0 pounds. Total change: -3.0 pounds
I think the gym workouts must be working because I've only lost 3 pounds but my clothes are fitting much better. All that nasty Christmas pudge is disappearing, thank heavens! Damn Nanaimo bars.
Today will be gym workout #12 out of 19 days in January so far. I'm still on track to make the 21 out of 31 workouts at the gym to be eligible to enter the contest for a free membership. However, it means I need to visit the gym for the next 5 days, including Friday night. Hmmmmmm.......maybe an easy walk on my way home from work? I should probably just move in.
I had a workout today before I left my driveway. My car was completely iced over on this frigid morning. I couldn't even open the car door. After body checking the door like a roller derby princess with no success, extreme measures were called for. So I did what every smart Canadian women does when faced with this situation. I used my hairdryer!
No kidding. I trudged through the snow to the garden shed to retrieve my long extension cord and grabbed my hair dryer. 15 minutes later, I was in. I still had to do a lot of chipping but I triumphed! Take THAT, Canadian winter!!
I got to work 90 minutes later than usual and I wasn't the last person to arrive. Crazy morning. A beach in Cuba may be calling my name sometime soon.
Now I'm off to the gym. Are you keeping up with your workouts in spite of the winter weather?
